  1. Day 1 · Approx. 5–6 hours by road

    Nairobi to the Maasai Mara

    Meet your driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel or the airport for a briefing at our office. Depart around 8:00 am for the 270 km drive to the Mara, stopping at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint and in Narok for lunch. After checking in and a short rest, enjoy an evening game drive until sunset, then dinner and a bonfire at camp.

  2. Day 2

    Full day in the Maasai Mara

    Breakfast, then a full day in the reserve with picnic lunches — around eight hours of game viewing, including a visit to the Mara River. Back at camp there is time for an optional nature walk or community visit.

  3. Day 3 · Approx. 5 hours by road

    Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

    Tea or coffee at 6:00 am and a sunrise game drive, when the big cats are often active. Return for breakfast, then drive to Nakuru, with an optional stop at Lake Naivasha (activities at extra cost).

  4. Day 4 · Long travel day

    Lake Nakuru to Amboseli

    A four-hour game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a stronghold for rhinos. Lunch, then drive via Nairobi and the Mombasa highway to Amboseli, arriving before sunset.

  5. Day 5

    Full day in Amboseli

    A full day of game viewing among Amboseli's large elephant herds, with a picnic lunch near the foot of Kilimanjaro. Return to camp around 5:00 pm.

  6. Day 6 · Approx. 4–5 hours including the border

    Amboseli to Arusha via Namanga

    An early game drive from 6:00 am, breakfast, then drive to the Namanga border, where you say goodbye to your Kenyan guide. After immigration, a shuttle takes you to Arusha, where our team meets you. Evening at leisure.

  7. Day 7 · Approx. 6 hours by road

    Arusha to the Serengeti

    After breakfast and a briefing with your Tanzanian guide, drive about six hours to the Serengeti with lunch en route. At least three hours of game viewing on the way to camp in the central Serengeti.

  8. Day 8

    Serengeti to Ngorongoro

    An early breakfast and a morning game drive of about six hours with a picnic lunch, then leave the park with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge and continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

  9. Day 9 · Approx. 3–4 hours after the crater

    Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    Descend about 600 metres onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive among its resident lions, buffalo, elephants, hyenas, zebra and wildebeest, and one of Tanzania's few black rhino populations. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Climb back to the rim and drive to Arusha.
