Destination

Tanzania's northern circuit and Kilimanjaro

Northern Tanzania holds some of Africa's most famous wildlife areas within a few hours of Arusha: the Serengeti's endless plains, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire's baobabs and Lake Manyara. Kilimanjaro rises to the east, and Zanzibar is a short flight away.

The northern circuit

Most Tanzania safaris follow the same logical loop from Arusha: Tarangire and Lake Manyara first, then up over the Ngorongoro highlands into the Serengeti, returning via the crater. Four to seven days covers the highlights; more time lets you follow the migration.

Combining with Kenya

Because we are based in Nairobi, many travellers combine both countries: the Maasai Mara and Amboseli in Kenya, then across the Namanga border to Arusha for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
