Family safaris

Travelling with children changes what makes a good safari: shorter drives between parks, lodges with pools and family rooms, and guides who are patient with young wildlife-spotters. We plan family itineraries around those needs.

Planning tips

A private vehicle lets you stop when children need a break. Combining the Maasai Mara with Lake Naivasha or Lake Nakuru keeps travel times manageable. For gorilla trekking in Uganda, note the Uganda Wildlife Authority's minimum age of 15.
