Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel and drive south through Maasai country to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Rest before an afternoon game drive from about 4:00 pm.

Day 2
Full day in Amboseli
Morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli. The open plains make sightings of elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest relatively easy, and on a clear day Kilimanjaro fills the southern skyline.

Day 3 · Approx. 3–4 hours with game viewing
Amboseli to Tsavo West
An early game drive and breakfast, then drive east to Tsavo West National Park with game viewing on the way. Tsavo is remembered for the "man-eaters" of 1898, lions that stalled construction of the Kenya–Uganda railway. After lunch at the lodge, an afternoon game drive introduces the park's lava fields and hills.

Day 4 · Approx. 3 hours by road
Tsavo West to Tsavo East
Early game drive and breakfast, then continue to Tsavo East National Park, arriving for lunch. After a rest, an afternoon game drive across the park's open plains, where elephants often appear coated in red dust.
