Midrange safaris trade campsites for lodges and tented camps with en-suite rooms, and usually a private vehicle and guide. They suit first-time visitors, families and anyone who wants a little more comfort at the end of a long game drive.

How pricing works

Lodge rates change with the season and availability, so our midrange packages are priced on request. Tell us your dates, group size and preferences and we will send a full quotation, including the lodges we recommend.

Accommodation

Itineraries describe stays as "overnight at the lodge". The exception is our 3 Days Maasai Mara Lodge Safari, which uses Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, and routes through Nakuru, which use Buraha Zenoni. Everywhere else, we propose lodges that suit your budget once we know your dates.

How long are midrange safaris?

Our 28 midrange itineraries run from 3 to 15 days. Every itinerary can be shortened, extended or combined.

What accommodation is used?

These itineraries are available at midrange level. Midrange and luxury itineraries are quoted with lodges chosen for your dates and preferences.

Where do these safaris start?

They start from Nairobi, Arusha and Entebbe. Each itinerary shows its start and end point.

What vehicle will we travel in?

Road safaris in Kenya and Tanzania use 4x4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs for game viewing. Each itinerary lists its transport under what is included.
